1 month old

Charlotte, you are one month old today (5/23/2010)!

• You weigh just over 9 pounds and are 21 1/2 inches long.
• You eat every 3 hours, except at night, when you have one 4 hour stretch!
• You eat 3-4 ounces every meal.
• You wear size 1 diapers.
• You wear 0-3 months clothes, but some are getting a little snug!
• You hate to have a wet/dirty diaper and will cry the minute you have one!
• You love your swing and bouncy seat.
• You love to be held (sometimes all day).
• You are sleeping better and taking naps during the day!
• You love your daddy and are excited to see him when he comes home!
• You are undecided if you like taking a bath - sometimes you cry and sometimes not.
• You like taking walks in your stroller but you usually fall asleep.
• You are a constant joy in our lives!

2 Week Check-Up

Charlotte went for her 2 week check-up this week.  She weighed 8 lbs, 10 oz (50th percentile) and was 21 1/2 inches long (95th percentile).  Our big girl was also 95th percentile for head circumference!    

Colin's Bottle Warming Technique

First, you get a large Pendelton mug (thanks Grampy) and fill with hot water.

Next, you add container of milk to

 cup and hot water.

Finally, you place your Klean Kanteen or large bottle of body wash (depending on what room in the house you are in) to keep said milk submerged in hot water!

I had no idea...

... that I could love someone so much

... how little sleep I really need to function

... how much more I could love my husband

... how much laundry a baby produces

... how many times I could check on a sleeping baby

... about pumping breast milk, until now

... that when they tell you that you cannot get out of bed 

             after the epidural that they are serious

... how long 26 hours in labor is

... how great a shower is

... that 8 1/2 pounds and 10 days could completely change me!
